An overly-enthusiastic but hopeless Pirate Captain is determined to beat his rivals and win the highly prized Pirate of the Year Award. The quest takes each captain and their motley crew on an action packed adventure, from Blood Island to Victorian London meeting historical characters such as Queen Victoria and Charles Darwin along the way. 3rd JUNE - THE KING'S SPEECH Oscar winning historical drama starring Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. It is the story of King George VI of Britain, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it. 10th JUNE - SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN Romantic comedy starring Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt. A Sheik from Yemen has a dream to create fly-fishing in his desert country. He seeks a consultant to find a fisheries expert to help make this a reality. To everyone else this seems impossible but the trio embark on the adventure regardless. 17th JUNE - SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS This is the second Sherlock Holmes swashbuckling-thriller from Director Guy Ritchie, starring Robert Downey Jnr as Holmes and Jude Law as Watson. This time the pair join forces to bring down bad guy Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris. Stephen Fry also makes an appearance as Holmes's older brother in this interpretation of Conan Doyle's The Final Problem. 24th JUNE - TWO DAYS IN NEW YORK French actress Julie Delphy stars in this comedy set in New York. Recently separated from the father of her child she is now in a new relationship with Mingus, played by Chris Rock. When her family come to visit she finds this, combined with Mingus's American background, and her upcoming photography exhibition all too much and an explosive turn of events ensues. This is the follow up to 2 Days in Paris. |
